Part-Time Reading Interventionist
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Reading Interventionist who is passionate about helping students become confident readers. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about supporting diverse learners using multisensory, structured literacy approaches.
Responsibilities:

Provide small-group and one-on-one reading intervention sessions aligned with the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham principles.

Implement lesson plans designed to strengthen phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and comprehension.

Monitor and document student progress and communicate with parents and staff as needed.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development provided by The Little Reading House.

Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment.

Support the center’s mission by upholding high professional and ethical standards.
Qualifications:

Current Texas Teacher Certification (EC–6, Special Education, Reading Specialist, or related field preferred).

Passion for literacy instruction and working with students who have dyslexia or reading difficulties.

Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills are essential.

Must successfully complete a background check prior to employment.

Willingness to learn and implement structured literacy programs (training provided).

Flexible availability, including weekends.

Punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
Schedule:

Part-time, flexible hours (evenings and weekends available).
