Special Education, 504 & Dyslexia Support for Families

Navigating special education, Section 504, dyslexia services, evaluations, accommodations, and school meetings can be overwhelming. At The Little Reading House, we help parents better understand their child’s educational needs, school documents, available supports, and next steps. Our goal is to help families feel informed, prepared, and confident when advocating for their child.

Parent Support Membership

Designed for families who want guidance understanding special education and their child’s school paperwork.

Includes:​

  • Review of IEPs, 504 Plans, evaluations, and progress reports

  • Accommodation recommendations

  • ARD and 504 meeting preparation resources

  • Parent advocacy checklists and educational resources

  • Guidance on questions to ask the school

Parent Advocacy Plus Membership

For families who need more individualized support. Includes everything in Parent Support, plus:

  • More in-depth review of educational records

  • Review of evaluations, RTI/MTSS, interventions, and progress monitoring

  • Personalized ARD/IEP and 504 meeting preparation

  • Assistance organizing parent concerns and talking points

  • Email templates and written requests for schools

  • Guidance requesting evaluations, reevaluations, ARD meetings, or 504 meetings

  • Evaluation process and timeline guidance

  • Post-meeting review of updated IEP or 504 paperwork

  • Individual parent consultation

The Little Reading House does not attend ARD, IEP, or Section 504 meetings. We prepare parents so they can participate confidently in their child’s meetings.
